Open Water Upgrade
Open Water Upgrade dive course – PADI & IFDI
Are you already certified as a Scuba Diver (or an equivalent 10-meter diver) and looking to upgrade to a full Open Water / 20-meter diver rating? The Open Water Upgrade course is exactly what you need.
What do you will learn?

Theory Development: Learn the principles of diving, safety procedures, and ocean awareness independently at your own pace via eLearning.

Shallow Water Training: Practice all required scuba skills comfortably in a swimming pool.

Open Water Dives: Apply what you have learned during 2 boat dives around Koh Samui. Once you are certified, you are qualified to dive anywhere in the world to a maximum depth of 18 / 20 meters.
Goal
This is the first true step in your diving career. You will learn everything required to become an independent, autonomous diver. You will be fully capable of exploring the underwater world on your own (together with a diving partner).
Prerequisites

You must be certified as a Scuba Diver.

Swimming Skills: You must be able to swim 200 meters.

Health: A reasonable level of fitness and a completed medical questionnaire.
Important: After diving, you should wait 18–24 hours before flying. The last dive usually ends at around 2:00 PM.
Next step
Once you have earned your Open Water Diver certification, keep diving and gaining experience.
When you feel comfortable underwater, you can move on to our next level. This includes the Advanced Open Water / 30-Meter Diver course. The more you dive, the more the ocean will reveal to you.
